How many Ideas can I submit?
As many as you like. There's no longer a limit on how many Ideas you can have in the Review Phase at once.
What kinds of items can I submit?
Any original, wearable avatar item. That includes face and body items, hair, piercings, auras, and clothing.
We don't accept redesigns of existing items, furniture, pets or pet accessories, multi-item submissions, or anything generated with AI. Colour-changing is only allowed where it happens naturally, such as hair, lips, eyes, brows, facial hair, freckles, and blush.

Does my submission need to look finished?
Close to it, yes. Backers preorder based on your picture, so your submission needs to clearly show what the player will actually get. Rough, vague, or half-finished designs will be rejected.
If drawing isn't your strength, commissioning an artist to help you realise your design is completely legitimate. A strong idea plus someone who can draw it is still your idea.
Can I use AI to make my submission?
No. AI-generated submissions are not accepted, and using one is grounds for a permanent ban from Highrise Ideas.
Ideas exists so that the people designing for Highrise get their work made and get paid for it. An AI output isn't your design, and putting your name on one takes a funding slot from someone who drew theirs.
Can I base my Idea on another player's item?
No. Copying another player's design is grounds for a permanent ban from Highrise Ideas.
Every Idea has to be your own original work. If you see an Idea that's based on a player-made item, report it using the Flag Icon and include the name of the item it's copying.
Are collaborations allowed?
You can commission another artist to help produce your design, and both usernames can be credited on the item.
Earned Gold is still paid to a single account, so anything you agree to split is arranged between the two of you. Highrise doesn't divide payouts.
Can I edit my Idea after it's been submitted?
No. Once an Idea is submitted, its details can't be changed.
If it's still in the Review Phase, you can delete it yourself from the My Ideas tab and upload a corrected version.
If it's already approved and receiving funding, you'll need to contact support to remove it. Be aware that this resets the entire funding cycle: every backer is refunded, and you'll have to resubmit the Idea for review from scratch.
My Idea keeps getting rejected!
Read the Guidelines carefully. An Idea needs to meet community guidelines for content, be technically possible to build, sit in the right item category, be original, and clearly show the finished item.
We're also stricter on originality than we used to be. Designs that closely resemble existing items, or that follow a wave of similar submissions after something funds, won't be approved.
How much do Ideas items cost?
Most items are 6,000 to preorder and 8,000 after funding. Hair is 9,000 to preorder and 12,000 after funding. All Ideas items are Legendary.

Is there a limit to how many items I can preorder?
No. You can buy up to 10 at a time, but your total preorders for a single Idea are unlimited. Snag as many Cursed Crocs as your heart desires.
Can I preorder my own Idea?
Yes, as many times as you like.
How do I cancel a preorder?
You can't. Backing an Idea is a binding commitment that can't be withdrawn.
Your Gold is refunded only if the Idea fails to fund, or if it's removed by staff.
Can I support an Idea using Earned Gold? Does that reach the designer as Earned Gold?
You can use Earned Gold to preorder, and it behaves exactly like regular Gold. The currency you pay with has no effect on what the designer receives.
Check your Earned Gold balance on the Create Portal so you know how much of your wallet is Earned Gold versus regular Gold.
I backed an Idea during funding. Can I still get the discount now that it's in production?
No. The 25% discount applies during the Funding Phase only. Prices are fixed by the phase an Idea is currently in, and aren't affected by whether you've backed it before.
How long does production take?
There's no fixed length. Items are finished when they're ready, and preorders stay open at full price the whole time.
When do I get my item?
On launch day. Finished items go on sale in the Highrise store every Monday for 7 days, and backers and the designer receive their copies that day.
Why can't I trade my item?
Items can't be traded or gifted during their 7-day sale week. Once the week ends, they trade like anything else.
The lock exists because buying up a launch to resell it pushes the item's value down during the exact week the designer is earning from it.
How do I report an Idea?
Tap the Flag Icon in the lower right corner of the item image. Choose a Category (Copyright Infringement, Inappropriate Content, and so on) and add a brief description to help our Trust & Safety team take action.
If you're reporting an Idea for using a player-made item as a base or reference, include the name of the item it's based on.
I want to run a giveaway to promote my Idea. Is that allowed?
Yes. Giveaways, competitions, raffles, and rewards are all fine.
Unlike Concepts, where supporting a design is free and zero-risk through the community vote, backing an Idea is a leap of faith that costs Gold upfront. Much like bonuses for hitting funding goals on platforms like Kickstarter, extra incentives from a designer are a fair perk for the people committing to their Idea.
